Here are a few comments on books, articles or movies I have enjoyed and why I would recommend them.
The Secret Race, by Tyler Hamilton & Danny Coyle – 2013
The story of a young american bike rider who met the professional world of cycling and needed then more than 10 years to come to terms with his secrets, telling a few stories about some of the other cyclists he used to ride with or against. He offers a myriad of vivid and precise details on how and when “semi-organized” doping was conducted. As a professional in sports health and performance, one can’t ignore these facts. Every sports and health professional should have read such a book to realize the choices these athletes were facing and why they took the dark path of performance enhancing drugs. Powerful and sadly true. Follow @Ty_Hamilton for more.
